This is not America...
Unfortunately, I have had to postpone the US dates I had scheduled for this month.
As an independent, life is always a juggling act, and it is often the case that I have to prioritise. And, quite simply, the US trip did not make sense at present. As anyone who reads my blog on a regular basis will have gathered, it’s been rather hectic in Miroland as of late. Firstly, I have four albums in production: my next full studio album (working title Ugly Dog), an acoustic covers album (as yet unnamed), a full-production covers album (Synch or Swim), and, of course The Pacmen album that I’ll be making with Alex Kane. In addition, I also have to write and record songs for the forthcoming movie Ten Year Itch. I have the feeling that will become another album in itself, featuring a number of tracks that won’t appear in the movie.
Realistically, I decided it would not be wise to be straying too far from the studio. This year looks like being an exciting rollercoaster of endless creative ventures, and I am relishing the prospect of completing each project.
Once recording is finished, then gigs will follow – both more solo shows, and gigs as The Pacmen. And the fact that my Pacmen partner, Alex, resides in LA means that US shows are a given.
